Genital warts are most often caused by HPV 6/11. HPV 16/18, known as high-risk types, cause anogenital and cervical cancer.

By UPTODATE: high-risk HPV types, such as HPV 16, 18, 52, and 56, can be detected in anogenital warts. However, HPV 6 and/or 11 (low-risk types) are detected in 90% of the anogenital warts. Good luck to you.
