Other than breastfeeding what causes mastitis? like 2 weeks ago i shaved around my nipple can that be a cause?

Mastitis is seen after skin germs enter the lacteals (milk pores) and infect the inner substance of the breast, Any activity that irritated the area near these lacteals may have allowed this to happen. It can happen sporadically for unknown reasons but this might have been a factor.
