Hyperthyroidism (HT) is a complex disease in many,. Go to Drugs.com and read about medications for hyperthyroidism-side effects etc. In men the treatment of choice is radiation. Then discuss with your Dr. who knows you and other meds and labs related to HT. Should discuss with an Endocrinologist and then weigh the risks and benefits of various treatments. Decide which is best for you.

The answer here depends on the cause of the hyper thyroidism. You will need treatment to get it under control, and diet alone is not going to be the answer. You should see your primary doctor or an endocrinologist for further evaluation and treatment. Good luck.
