He should be fine in a few days. If a fever or new symptoms erupt than have him seen by your pediatrician.

Yes. Main concern is possible aspiration which can lead to pneumonia. Keep baby upright when feeding or drinking. Was your baby premature? if so, there may be reason to suspect upper airway issue. best to see an ENT for endoscopy
