A member asked:

My baby in 7 months and half can i put some sugar in the food?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Why ???: Breast milk or formula is adequate nutrition for babies at 7 mo and occasional simple solids are used to teach the transition to solid foods. I find the idea of offering added sugar to a baby a bit odd. If you want to program your babies brain to seek out sweets every meal go ahead. However, a preoccupation with sugar or sweets is one of many reasons a kid grows up struggling with their weight.
