A member asked:

What possible complications can there be for a newborn baby who's mother eats a lot of sugar and processed foods?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hard to say: The human reproductive system is capable of tolerating a variety of dietary patterns. It can select and extract the nutritional needs of the fetus from the mother whether she is consuming a proper diet or not. That said, this describes the dietary practices of a segment of the normal population who have normal babies every day in the US.
