Would advise you NOT to treat yourself and adjust dosing with nortryptyline on your own, a drug that can have intense anticholinergic adverse effects. Would be assertive and request a referral to a psychiatrist. Emotional issues often do best with an array of interventions, and typically, medications are best used initially for brief periods if possible.
