Despite warnings and internet buzz about azithromycin and EKG abnormalities that predispose to arrhythmia, it almost never happens. Crushing it or taking the pills whole makes no difference. It will taste extremely bitter if you crush and drink it, but it will work just fine. However, this may not be the best treatment for you anyway; comment to follow.
