Is 21 umol/l bilirubin elevated? lab reference says yes (17 limit) but internet shows all sorts of upper limits up to 1.5 (25 umol/l) and more. all other labs normal. what is limits in north america? zero symptoms, just regular blood work. thx?

Each lab has different normal values. If your lab says this is elevated, then it was elevated on that lab draw. To interpret this, a liver doctor would need to see the rest of the liver profile, including the normal values. You may need other labs drawn, or radiologic evaluation. You should return to see the Doctor Who ordered the lab values in the first place. Good luck.
