Bronchitis alone is unlikely to cause chest tightness or shortness of breath. This situation easily could be complicated by pneumonia; or it might have started with more than a garden variety URI, like influenza or covid. Ask your doctor about testing and/or treatment for them, and whether a chest X-ray should be done. Don't delay: this sort of problem can get more serious quite fast. Good luck.
