Gag reflex: Some people have a degree of gag reflex and when brushing your teeth, it is possible to stimulate the gag reflex. Sometimes brushing a little slower helps to prevent the trigger of the gag reflex.

Hyperactive gag : Reflex is more common than one thinks. Try a mechanical power brush like an oral b triumph. It has a small circular head and is very efficient. Also consider using a mouth rinse daily to help if brushing is difficult. Best to consult with your dentist. Hope this helps and thanks for the question.
