Gagging: One solution for this that really works well for some is to put some table salt on the very back of the top of your tongue right before brushing. This can really suppress your gag reflex for a few minutes, allowing you to brush your teeth. Obviously, if you are on a restricted salt diet, ok this with your primary health provider, first.

Some suggestions:: Try using a smaller toothbrush, even a children's toothbrush, leave brushing your back teeth for last and get your mind on something else like singing a song to yourself, thinking about a vacation you would like to take, or what seems to work the best: count backwards by 3's starting from 100 to yourself.
