A member asked:

I read on many websites and forums to douche with 2/3 water and 1/3 peroxide and then follow with just water 2-3 times to treat a yeast infection?

No douching: American college of obstetricians and gynecologists suggests women avoid douching completely, regardless of what ingredients are used in the douche itself. More women that douche experience genital problems than those who do not. Although we don't know whether the women in former group just have more gyn problems and therefore douche or if douching causes additional problems. Best not to douche.

It sounds good to me: Overdouching can kill the normal flora and alter the normal ph/ acidity of the vaginal tract.
