A member asked:

32f - i have (benign) pvcs, been diagnosed by holter monitor. recently have found that when i get palpitations, i can see the stronger post-pvc beat in my vision. it's kind of like a shadow around edges of my vision that flickers in on the beat?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You're correct in noticing that the next normal beat following the fully compensatory pause after the PVC is a more forceful beat & this ,and not the PVC, is what we feel during palpitations. The forceful beat causes more expansion of the veins crossing the optic disc& it's not unusual to see that in your vision. Your ophthalmologist can reassure you about this.
