I swallowed a small piece of plastic wrapper 27 hours ago and i feel it still stuck in my esophagus. the doctor i saw told me that it will go down by itself but it hasn't. i can breathe and eat normally. is there anything i can do to dislodge it?

As long as you are able to eat and drink, the food and liquid you swallow should keep the small piece of wrapper moving. It is also possible the area has become mildly inflamed giving the sensation the wrapper is still there when it actually has already moved out of the esophagus into your stomach. If this is the case, the inflammation will subside over time. See a GI doctor if the problem persist

Since doctor told you that it would pass by itself, it should be able to pass quicker by drinking 3 to 4 L of water a day
