Your post is confusing. There is no vaccine for childhood strep throat, if that is your question. Untreated strep throat in kids can result in Rheumatic heart disease, kidney failure and neurological problems in some patients. These are serious problems. What you mean by ???Shield??? is unknown.

Strep pneumococcal disease may be very serious. The AAP recommends the PCV series. Please read about the disease and consider the vaccination. If you are concerned about the number of vaccinations administered on one day, discuss a modified schedule, with your Pediatrician.
