An infection is more likely. Trace protein often resolved after treatment. Monitor BP and temperature. Watch for signs of pain and please follow up with your physician. Keep well hydrated.

Besides those urine findings, nephritis (kidney infection = pyelonephritis, an upper urinary tract infection) often presents with flank/back pain with fever +/- shaking chill. If you only have dysuria (frequency, burning pain when voiding) along with those urine findings, you only have cystitis (bladder or lower urinary tract infection). Take care.
