Emergency surgery 18 days ago they had to remove part of small intestine. i went for follow up with surgery today. took staples out of my stomach and put tape like strips across my incision. i didn't ask if i should take off after shower.pls help?

If you can't reach the surgeon to get instructions, I've recommended taping some plastic material on your abdomen to keep the water and spray off the incision. However, if all sutures,clips&dressings are removed this probably isn't necessary but but keep powerful shower spray away from the incision.
