I have sebhorriac dermatitis-in severe flare for 2+ years (scalp/ears) on topicals steroids ketoconazole shampoo & cream. i have asked for skin scraping-docs say not needed-they know its candida. symptoms are life altering - is this normal?

There are other skin diseases that involve the scalp and the ears, one being Psoriasis. This is not caused by candida organisms and is treated with other medications that may be very beneficial. See a dermatologist and be evaluated and possibly biopsied to confirm a diagnosis.
