A member asked:

I had a mild eating disorder from 14-15. i still ate nutritious foods but exercised a lot. i got to a low weight of 44kg at 162cm. did this stunt or delay my growth? i still grew to 165 by 17; and recently 170cm by 21. my dad is 58 and mum is 411?

Maybe/not. The predicted final male height from parents with their listed height would be 168 cm. gave or take an 2-3 cm.. That you have exceeded this height would suggest any delay of growth during the feeding issue did not have a significant impact.

So 170 cm = 170 cm/2.54 in =. 66.7 in which is 5.6 feet. Average your mom and Dads height= (59+68)/2 = 63.5 in = 161 cm or So you are taller that expected based on the average which would be 63.5. If my calculations are correct. Its in your genes it would appear. As I said before to get a better estimate I would average the height of all men on your father's side of the family when 21.
