Feeling is not very good way to measure body temp. I might get a skin sensing thermometer and test. In general eating pulls blood away from rest of body it moves to GI system to help digest and move food down the gut. Cold water might make all of you skin blood supply decrease as the body my thing it is cold outside also. I would review the physiology of blood flow to the gut and skin elsewhere.
