Can i take mucinex dm with metoprolol tartarte?

If you take certain drugs for depression or Parkinson's disease, called monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), do not take Mucinex DM. Taking Mucinex DM while you take MAOIs can lead to a severe reaction called serotonin syndrome. If the preparation has pseudoephedrine it can cause increase in BP so the dosage should be adjusted. Consult with your doctor regarding this.

There are no known drug drug interactions between Mucinex DM and metoprolol, drug specific side effects and /or interactions with other drugs you are taking still apply. Make sure you clarify with your prescriber and/or pharmacist.
