You could use that type of monitor to tell whether your oxygen level drops in the middle of the night, but a proper diagnosis of sleep apnea requires a sleep study. It is important to diagnose if you think that you have sleep apnea. It can save your life, and you will feel much better rested. See your doctor or a sleep specialist. Good luck.
