Drop to seventy or below & it is considered low, although many never have symptoms until it drops below 60. I wouldn't worry about your body allowing you to go too low. The body self regulates by releasing sugar from storage if it drifts down. If you are taking insulin, it can push the blood sugar too low, but I consider it exceedingly unlikely otherwise.
