A member asked:

If my husband and i both have high strains of hpv along with a bunch more. should we continue having sex, or will that make it worse?

Once you have these, the active infection usually clears within 2 years in those with a normal immune system. In some, they go dormant indefinitely with a remote chance of re-activation. Continuing to have sex makes no difference in the eventual behavior of these strains. Get your regular pap smears on the schedule your doc sets & he gets his own regular checkups.

Be under the care of a Urologist. If both of you have it then it will not be affected
