Meloxicam belongs to a class of medications that can cause stomach issues in many people. Check with your rheumatologist to see if they can recommend something different, if possible, that has less of an effect on the stomach.

Talk with your rheumatologist about the side effects. Stomach pain with meloxicam & other similar anti-inflammatory NSAIDS is a common side effect that is treated with removal of the medication or addition of acid blocking medication. But please give your personal doctor a call before you make any treatment decisions.
