This to shall pass. We have plenty of experience with toddlers ingesting everything from bugs to screws to animal food. The item you cite is not toxic and I would not spend eny time worrying about it. When it passes you may not be able to identify it after the bodies digestive juices reacted to it. Expect it to happen again at that age. Tasting things is how they learn sometimes.

I agree that this episode is not likely to result in complications. Keep all toxic and caustic substances out of reach. Keep all coins and batteries away in secured areas. Watch for signs of shortness of breath and fever. Please follow up with your Pediatrician.
