Normal but high ANA: A positive ANA is rarely associated with malignancy, with the exception of dermatomyositis (an inflammatory myopathy) in which both cancer and positive ANA may be seen. Highly elevated ANA may rarely be encountered in lymphoproliferative disorders (e.g. Nhl). However, this observation is usually made after the diagnosis & a correlation has not been established. A high ANA may also be normal.

ANA: An ANA is not a diagnostic test for cancer. It has no reliabilty for screening cancer. It is estimated that about 30% of all patients will have false positive. Unless you have symptoms consistent with an autoimmune process, it is not a diagnostic test.
