I gave birth this past august and am sitting at a heavier weight that id like. i will be 5 weeks pregnant this saturday. can i exercise like normal to maybe lose a bit of weight? i've cut out sugar and am only drinking water?

Congratulations on your pregnancy! You may exercise like normal, but typically starting a new vigorous exercise program is not recommended in pregnancy. Limiting sugar, and sticking with water is a great start in the right direction, and wonderful habits for the long run.

You can exercise while you are pregnant. You should do it within moderation and be sure to remain well hydrated throughout the exercise. With proper diet and moderate exercise, you can keep your weight within the recommended ranges throughout your pregnancy. Good luck.
