A member asked:

So how should i best deal with this patellar tendonitis since i've been dealing with it a year and it just keeps coming back and can be painful?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Frequent stretching: Chronic tendinitis occurs due to overload of the tendon leading to changes to the tissue. Try to avoid bent knee actvities (squats, stairs, lunges). Stretching of quad and hamstrings, ice massage, ultrasound, tissue massage, patellar strap. Some success with topic creams. Prp controversial. Rarely surgical.
