A member asked:

What percentage of people who contract hep c need a liver transplant?

2 doctors weighed in across 2 answers

The percentage is getting smaller and smaller because now 95% of people with hepatitis C can be treated effectively with medication. As soon as someone knows they are hepatitis C positive they should be treated with medication for a cure to their hepatitis.
