My ex accused me of giving him hsv1. he's never had any symptoms, no bumps on his mouth or down there. i've had hsv1 since younger. i asked him did he have a cold sore in the past and he said yeah. does that mean he already had it or i gave it 2 him?

Both HSV1 & 2 can lead to cold sores or genital herpes and the person who has either strain will have the virus remain in a dormant state in their system between outbreaks. Who gave it to who is difficult to know. The virus can be shed and transfer before a person's outbreak is evident.
