A member asked:

How come on my brain mri under the section marked 'impression' are "grossly normal-appearing pituitary and optic pathway" mentioned when everything else that was labeled as normal in the 'findings' section was not mentioned?

It may have been detailed because of symptoms or differential diagnosis listed on the order sheet by the ordering MD for the reason the test was ordered. The radiologist probably wanted to ensure that the study addressed the ordering MD's concerns. In any event no abnormalities were present.

Radiology reports on imaging studies respond to the referring request seeking answers to clinical questions. The report is indicative of normal findings and should not lead to concerns. If you wish further detail, contact the radiologist and discuss your films.
