Cymbalta has a long half life so you should not drink alcohol for at least a week after stopping the medication for avoiding the interaction.

I think that you should ask your Physician about the side effects that you are experiencing with Cymbalta, first, before wanting to drink alcohol. I would call Physician ASAP. Your Physician prescribed the medication for a reason. It is imperative to contact Physician to discuss what should be done.
