I recently had appendicitis. controlled by antibiotics. scan shows it to still be swollen and surgery recommended. chromogranin was 457. i had a lung carcinoid removed in 1996. meds include long use of prilosec and valsartin. thoughts?

If surgery was recommended for your appendicitis, you should have that. It is not clear that your current bout of Appendicitis Is related in anyway to your previous Carcinoid, but you should let your doctors know about that if they don’t already. Be sure not to miss your follow up. Good luck.

Hello i'm 62, had surgery to remove lung carcinoid (1.5cm) in 2007. Still go every yr for ctscan. Why? Will the tumour recur? Million thanks.
Why didn't mt. Surgeon mention that there was 4 nodules found on my liver before lung surgery for a carcinoid tumour?
I'm 26, female, overweight, and non-smoker. I started having left sided chest pain ( achy, burning), belching, forceful burps, burning/sore/swollen throat, stuffed nose, & mucus in throat. Ruled out heart, thyroid, and inf. Prilosec not working.
Clears by cardiologist and taking Prilosec for Acid reflux. Still have constant chest pain/soreness. Had GB removed as well. Other possibilities?
