I recently had appendicitis. controlled by antibiotics. scan shows it to still be swollen and surgery recommended. chromogranin was 457. i had a lung carcinoid removed in 1996. meds include long use of prilosec and valsartin. thoughts?

If surgery was recommended for your appendicitis, you should have that. It is not clear that your current bout of Appendicitis Is related in anyway to your previous Carcinoid, but you should let your doctors know about that if they don’t already. Be sure not to miss your follow up. Good luck.
