A member asked:

Is there a neurological condition that has the symptoms of gait ataxia, dysarthria, inability to do tandem walk and diminished deep tendon reflexes?

I'm not sure.one.neurological lesion can explain all these symptoms. Ataxia would impair tandem or heel to toe walking test.?cerebellar abnormality. Absent deep tendon reflexes in the legs occur with peripheral neuropathy. Dysarthria occurs with weakness of facial muscles or tongue functions. A neurologist is best to sort out these symptoms and advise you. Appropriate testing would be ordered

Your symptoms are nonspecific, and details regarding progression, current medications, co-morbidities, recreational drugs, etc., must all be sorted out and delineated by an expert neurologist if answers are to be forthcoming. See a local neurologist or start with a virtual consult here at HT to commence an evaluation (www.connect@healthtap.com).
