A member asked:

Two of my plica fimbriata (under the tongue) are swollen & red since the past 3 days, had dental cleaning last week so maybe that caused irritation. however, they hurt so much while eating. started salt rinses today. what else can i do?

You might try using some peroxide rinses. Cleaning might have caused some irritation. I would also avoid spicy foods, foods that are crunchy, and have a soft diet until area heals.

Take nSaids as per package directions before meals. If it has not started to resolve by 72hours post-onset, see your Dentist.
