A member asked:

I had an mri and was told it was normal. i received the mri report and there are no abnormalities except it does say in the patellofemoral compartment, there is a near full-thickness fissure of the lateral facet. what does that mean ? is it concernin?

I interpret that to mean there's a tear under or near your knee cap. I assume it could be a cause of knee pain. Apparently your cartilage, tendons and ligaments are ok. An orthopedic surgeon can advise you best about this tear and any knee symptoms you may experience.
