Was this a clean catch specimen? If not, that may explain the results. If it is a clean catch, are you having any urinary symptoms? Was a culture done? Either way, amlodopine typically does not result in these findings so see your doctor to find out what these results mean. Good luck!

You don't mention how long you've had hypertension and what range your BP has been averaging. I'm concerned about spilling protein in a person with hypertension. It may be a marker of some glomerular damage from high blood pressure that hasn't been well controlled. ACE inhibitors or ARBs may lessen proteinuria more than amlodipine according to most clinicians. Discuss this with your MD.
