These medications are used for blood pressure control, and metoprolol is also used to help control arrhythmias. Blood pressure should be measured both sitting and standing, to prevent over-treating; this will ensure one's BP does not fall too low with standing.
One's Dr should monitor blood tests (especially of kidney function) while on medications.
