It may be the medications you may be taking rather than flu itself.

You can absolutely get a dry mouth with the flu, and it usually means that you are getting dehydrated. You should concentrate on drinking lots of liquids, to the point that your urine should look practically pale, almost colorless. If you do, you will find out that your mouth is less dry also.
