I was out on lolo birth control to prevent ovarian cysts but i still got one. my question is does that mean i still ovulated? how are cysts caused when a pills job is to stop ovulation? thx?

The ovary has follicles which are, by itself a changing tissue that forms a cyst just before releasing an egg. These are often small & regress. Many tiny follicles are present in the ovary in various states of formation to be the next up for egg release. The pill works by stopping the release phase, which will leave many that will not. Cysts can also come up that will have no egg to release
