I take birth control pills, but the mri i had for my back found a ovarian cyst, why would a cyst form when the birth control pills do not ovulate me.

Although: follicular cysts are the most common type of benign ovarian cyst(and would be suppressed with OCPs), there are other types of cysts that aren't related to follicles or ovulation.
