PCOS is only one of many causes of irregular periods/long cycles and that diagnosis cannot be made on that basis alone. This might in fact be perfectly normal for you though the unpredictability is stressful. Birth control pills can regulate your cycle and would also be indicated in case you did turn out to have PCOS.
