Attempted to hold a sneeze and experienced sudden cramping of throat muscles. now when i swallow i experience slight discomfort/soreness. however, when i turn to the right or left, i barely notice it. no movement issues nor swelling of the neck?

I'm not entirely sure what your question is. Stifling a sneeze requires the containment of a tremendous force and creates a lot of pressure on the glottis. It sounds like your whole larynx was twisted in spasm. You no doubt strained your voice box muscles and are lucky to have recovered without a more severe injury. You'll be OK. Next time just sneeze.
