You should see the doctor who prescribed the atenolol. If the thyroid hasn’t been normal for very long, you may need to be on the low dose atenolol for a bit longer. It is also possible the high heart rate is unrelated to the thyroid. A holter monitor would definitely help figure out how often your heart rate increases and how high it goes. You may still need atenolol. Good luck to you!!
