My doctor told me to start the nuvaring on my upcoming period feb 3 . i had unprotected sex today and need to take a plan b. plan b causes me to start bleeding days after and makes my period very late. when would i insert my nuva ring?

If your period is delayed you will postpone Nuvaring until you have your period. In the meantime, you use other contraceptive method as well as in the first 7 days after using Nuvaring for the first time.
