I am confused when I see symptoms like mood swings, depression, insomnia, personality changes referred to as steroid psychosis. To me,these are not psychotic manifestations. I've seen many patients on high dose steroids with chemotherapy & never saw true psychosis develop. Oral budesonide dosing is trivial in contrast & shouldn't cause much in the way of side effects.

I have seen patients become psychotic from steroids. It depends on the individual's sensitivities. Please have someone watch over you to observe your behavior.
