In Laymans terms, this means that you have inflammation of the first part of the small intestine, which may be contributed to by excessive acid. It would be good to know whether or not you had an infection with Helicobacter pylori found on your endoscopy. You should follow up with your gastroenterologist about these findings. Good luck.
