My husband has a very sensitive big hard knot on the back of his head that just showed up this morning. he did not hit his head on anything there is no discoloration. the knot has gotten a little bigger since this morning. what could this be?

Could be one of multiple things such as bruise, infection, cyst, insect bite, etc. Please don't ask us to guess. Unproductive. See a Physician for a real live physical examination for best diagnosis and treatment plan.
